Valley Youth House, a Bethlehem non-profit that provides support for vulnerable, abused and homeless youth, is looking to the local REALTOR® community for assistance in finding a home for a young, soon-to-be mom with a housing voucher.

Tanazia is a young adult who is vibrant, smart and kind. Her smile lights up a room and she has always been willing to help others. She is resilient and has overcome many obstacles, from being abandoned by her adoptive family to navigating healthy relationships with her biological family as she grew up and aged out of the child welfare system. She has never used her past hardships as a reason to not gain success. Despite not having many reliable adults as a safety net, she has maintained employment for years, drives, and has completed her high school education. She recently relocated back to the Lehigh Valley and is expecting a child of her own this January.

Where the local REALTOR® comes into play: Tanazia is in need of housing, specifically with a landlord who will work with a housing voucher. Finding affordable housing has been difficult for many young adults aging out of the foster care system. Valley Youth House needs the community to help find this mom a home for the holidays.

If you are able to help Valley Youth House and Tanazia, please contact Matthew Marks, GLVR’s Government Affairs Director, at Matthew@GLVR.org.
