The Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS® on December 29, 2025, donated a total of $4,500 to three organizations serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

Each year, the president of the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS® selects an organization or charity of choice to support. 2025 President Michael Bernadyn, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Real Estate in Allentown, chose three organizations that hold personal significance for him.

$1,500 for Julian’s Legacy Foundation

Julian’s Legacy Foundation promotes fire safety and burn awareness, supports burn survivors and their families, and assists in the advancement of research into burn treatments. The foundation was started after the loss of Julian Diaz.

On August 14, 2024, 18-year-old Julian tragically sustained third-degree burns on 84% of his body due to a devastating bonfire accident. Two days later, Julian was placed on hospice care and, surrounded by his family, passed away on August 18, 2024.

Julian is the son of Joel and Molly Diaz, both members of RE/MAX Real Estate. In a powerful full-circle moment, Julian’s Legacy Foundation later extended support to GLVR MLS and Communications Director Mallory Siegfried and her family following a serious burn-related accident this past summer, underscoring the strength, compassion, and sense of community that defines the Lehigh Valley REALTOR® family.

Julian’s Legacy Foundation’s goal is to honor the legacy of Julian’s strength and bravery, while working to reduce the number of preventable burn injuries.

$1,500 for the Monocacy Farm Project

The Monocacy Farm Project is a community-centered, sustainable agriculture initiative that uses the land and resources of Monocacy Manor in the Franciscan tradition to model environmental stewardship, foster community involvement, and serve those in need. The project focuses on sustainable farming practices, affordable access to fresh produce, and education for all ages about ecology, healthy eating, and agroecology. Through programs like community gardens, a pick-your-own produce season, and partnerships with local food pantries, the Farm grows healthy food for residents and supports the local emergency food system, all while offering hands-on learning experiences and workshops that strengthen community connection and care for the earth.
