Members and affiliates of the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS® (GLVR) raised $3,190 during a 100 REALTORS® Who Care event held on November 13, 2024.

The money was donated to Operation Address the Homeless (OATH). The check presentation was held in December with association staff and leadership and members of GLVR’s Diversity and Community Involvement Committee.

100 REALTORS® Who Care was held at the PPL Center during a Lehigh Valley Phantoms game. Representatives from OATH gave a short presentation about their organization and the importance of their services. GLVR members enjoyed the game and suite-level access free of charge in exchange for a donation to OATH.

OATH’s motto is, “A hand up, not a handout.” The organization’s facilities, which have called Allentown home since 2016, currently provide showers, laundry, meals, haircuts, job training, life skills training, and most importantly, give people a sense of pride, a sense of purpose, and a sense of self-worth.

One of OATH’s current projects is to raise funds to start Hope Village of Allentown (a tiny home community) and to purchase a Mobile Outreach Vehicle. They have been going into the homeless camps in the Lehigh Valley to provide food, water, clothing, and other necessary goods to help the homeless survive.

The association has held the 100 REALTORS® Who Care event since the spring of 2023, raising $4,350 for Sixth Street Shelter, $3,650 for Victory House of Lehigh Valley, $3,300 for the Kellyn Foundation, $3,750 for the ProJeCt of Easton, $3,065 for The Perfect Fit for Working Women, and $3,265 for Peaceful Knights, Inc.
