Jody Karam
I have been a licensed REALTOR® with Morganelli Properties since 2019, and in 2023, I advanced to the level of Associate Broker. After dedicating 35 years to my career as a school teacher, I retired from the Bethlehem Area School District in June 2024 to focus more fully on my passion for real estate. Currently, I serve as a member of the GLVR Board of Directors and participate on the MLS Committee. My term on the Professional Standards Committee ignited my enthusiasm to further serve and support the GLVR membership.
As an Associate Broker at Morganelli Properties, I am responsible for agent recruitment and new agent training, as well as planning and organizing monthly brokerage meetings alongside our broker, Heather McFadden.
In addition to my real estate pursuits, I spent 35 years as a high school head wrestling coach, recently retiring from Easton High School. During my tenure at Liberty High School, I founded the LHS Real Estate Club, which raised funds to send seven students for coursework, with two going on to pass the Pennsylvania licensing exams.
I reside in Nazareth with my wife, Karen, and our two children, Sage (29) and Sydnee (27). I have enjoyed supporting my son’s career in IndyCar and NASCAR, and watching my daughter compete at the Division I level in swimming. A proud Easton High School graduate (‘83), I competed as a Division I wrestler at Lock Haven University and earned my Master’s Degree from Wilkes University.
Among my most meaningful life moments was in 2023 when I selflessly became a kidney donor to a friend in need. During the transplant, it was discovered that I had renal cancer. I am proud to be a cancer survivor—sometimes, saving a life also creates a new life for yourself.
In my first term as a GLVR Board of Directors member, I have experienced tremendous professional growth. Much of this year has been dedicated to understanding the needs of our members and recognizing the significant impact of director-level decision-making. I believe my ability to approach each decision from a membership-centered perspective makes me a strong advocate for agents—and I am committed to continuing this service with integrity and dedication.
