Members and affiliates of the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS® (GLVR) raised $8,000 during a 100 REALTORS® Who Care event on April 26, 2023.

The money was donated to Sixth Street Shelter ($4,350) and Victory House of Lehigh Valley ($3,650). On hand for the check presentations — held on May 11, 2023 — were Lyn Hufton, chair of GLVR’s Diversity and Community Involvement Committee; Michael Bernadyn, vice-chair of the committee; Elijah McCready and Sandy Flowers, members of the committee; Matthew Marks, GLVR’s Government Affairs Director and the committee’s staff liaison; and GLVR President Howard Schaeffer.

100 REALTORS® Who Care was held at Edge Restaurant in Bethlehem. Upon arrival, members and affiliates mixed and mingled while enjoying a free drink on the association. Representatives from Sixth Street Shelter and Victory House of Lehigh Valley then gave short presentations about their organizations and the importance of their services. Those in attendance, moved by what they heard, wrote a check for at least $100 to the charity that spoke most to them and placed their check in a box designated with that charity’s name.

If you missed the event, you can still donate! Checks in the amount of $100 can be mailed to the association office (c/o Matthew Marks, Government Affairs Director; 10 S. Commerce Way, Bethlehem, PA 18017). Checks should be written out to either Sixth Street Shelter or Victory House of Lehigh Valley. Donations can also be made through each organization’s website (see buttons below).
